Christian Butter joins Teneo as senior managing director

Global advisory firm Teneo has installed Christian Butter as its forensics and investigations leader for the UK and EMEA region. Commenting on the move, global forensics and investigations head Amanda Rigby said the firm will benefit from Butter’s “leadership and vision”, both “in the UK and across borders”.
Rigby added, “Christian’s experience at the nexus of forensics, AI and strategy is exactly what our clients need as they navigate increasingly complex challenges in a fast-evolving landscape.”
Launched in 2011, Teneo is a consultancy specialising in strategic communications, investor relations, restructuring, management consulting, financial advisory, and corporate governance advisory services. With teams based principally out of London, New York and Dubai offices, the firm is most noted for its restructuring expertise, but has been growing into other sectors, particularly since its backing from CVC Capital in 2019.
Arriving as a senior managing director, Butter joins Teneo’s rapidly growing global forensic and investigations practice. There, he will play a pivotal role in advancing the firm’s cross-border capabilities and delivering solutions to clients facing increasingly complex challenges – across its UK and EMEA wings.
Bringing a multidisciplinary background at the intersection of technology, financial forensics and global advisory, Butter has spent time with Palantir Technologies, PwC and Clifford Chance. As deployment strategist at Palantir, he helped organisations leverage AI software to address mission-critical challenges, while at PwC, he spent time as a partner in the forensics, cyber and integrity business. There, he helped shape the Big Four firm’s its services and people strategies.
Looking ahead, Butter said, “The opportunity to combine Teneo’s integrated offer with investment in new technologies and to scale the global business is exciting, and I look forward to growing Teneo's global forensic and investigations practice with my new colleagues around the world.”
