Teneo welcomes duo of former MEPs to strengthen policy advisory offering
CEO advisory firm Teneo has appointed two new senior advisors to its European operations. Former MEPs Frances Fitzgerald and Arnaud Danjean will enhance the firm’s capabilities in advising clients on geopolitical, regulatory, and policy issues across the continent.
Philippe Blanchard, president of Teneo in Europe, stated, “We are thrilled to welcome Frances and Arnaud to our growing European advisory team. Frances’s deep institutional knowledge of EU and Irish politics and Arnaud’s unique combination of on-the-ground diplomatic experience and strategic security insight will be invaluable to our clients.”
Amid a period of political and economic turmoil, clients in the private sector are looking for advice on how to deal with the constantly evolving situation. From addressing the will-they-won’t-they tariffs the US is set to inflict on its global trade partners, to the continuing war in Ukraine, and emerging elements of the climate crisis, businesses need to be able to respond quickly and effectively, to preserve their bottom-lines.
Blanchard added that the appointments reflect Teneo’s “ongoing commitment to helping business leaders understand and navigate” that environment.
Frances Fitzgerald joins the firm following a distinguished career in Irish politics. A former deputy prime minister of Ireland, more recently Fitzgerald served as a member of European parliament (MEP). Bringing over three decades of leadership in both Irish and EU institutions, she also served as vice president of the European People’s Party, and is widely known for her deep institutional insight and policymaking expertise.

Arnaud Danjean meanwhile joins Teneo following a similarly decorated career in diplomacy and European politics. An MEP for over a decade, he also chaired the subcommittee on security and defence – before serving as special advisor to former French Prime Minister Michel Barnier. Danjean also brings extensive field and institutional experience from his earlier roles in the French ministries of foreign affairs and defence.
