Opus promotes Andrew Foster to partner in investigations

Opus Restructuring & Insolvency has announced the promotion of Andrew Foster. His elevation to partner recognises his “pivotal role” in growing the firm’s specialist investigations and contentious insolvency team.
Tim Dolder, managing partner at Opus, commented, “This is not only a well-deserved recognition of Andrew’s technical knowledge and commercial contributions, but also a significant moment for the continued growth of the ICI team and the broader success of our service line delivery. Andrew’s journey is a clear example of the talent and potential we have within the Opus team. Promoting from within is something we value deeply, and it’s incredibly rewarding for us as a Board to be able to get fully behind internal promotions.”
Andrew Foster’s team plays a vital national role in pursuing recoveries for insolvent estates, often acting without funds and working at risk. Their work involves complex investigations, asset recoveries and litigation. The firm sees this as essential to its continued success, especially in service lines such as the ICI team, which supports partners and offices across the country.
“We’re currently managing a large portfolio of complex cases comprising high value claims,” added Foster. “What makes our work different is the ability to dedicate the necessary resources and expertise required to identify and pursue alternative angles with a view to maximising returns for creditors.”
Foster has led the investigations and contentious insolvency team since joining the firm four years ago. His promotion comes amid Opus’s continued commitment to investing in internal talent and developing specialist services – and it recently also promoted Amanda Hamlin and Sonya Brannigan in its insolvency wing.
Last month, Opus Restructuring & Insolvency was named among the UK’s leading restructuring consulting firms for 2025 in a benchmark by Consultancy.org. The firm is part of Opus Business Advisory.
