The Sports Consultancy awarded the King’s Award for Enterprise

The Sports Consultancy has become the latest member of the UK consulting sector to be awarded the highly coveted King’s Award for Enterprise. The prize recognises the firm’s growing impact across the global sports, events and entertainment sectors.
Founded in 2006, The Sports Consultancy (TSC) is a business advisory firm, which specialises in the sporting sector. The company provides a mix of management consultancy, commercial sales and negotiation and legal services to clients including some of the sports world's best-known rights owners, athletes, stadia and facilities, brands and investors.
Among the iconic sporting properties TSC has worked with are the NFL, Formula 1, FIFA, and Volleyball World. This reputation has contributed to TSC being named as a platinum provider of consulting services for the sports category of Consultancy.uk’s industry rankings.
As TSC continues to expand its international presence, the firm has also been lauded with a King’s Award for Enterprise. The award, made for excelling in international trade, comes after TSC recently opened up new activity in the Middle East and Asia, strengthening its ability to serve a growing portfolio of clients across those regions.
“We are immensely proud to receive the King’s Award for Enterprise,” commented Angus Buchanan, managing director and co-founder of The Sports Consultancy. “This recognition reflects the passion and rigour our team brings to every project. It’s also a testament to the incredible clients we’re privileged to partner with: organisations that share our belief in the power of sport to create lasting impact.”
The King's Awards for Enterprise, now in their 59th year, are one of the most prestigious business awards in the UK. Announced annually on the reigning British monarch’s birthday, the ceremony has been operating in various forms since 1966, with King Charles now handing out prizes to top businesses on the advice of the incumbent prime minister, who is assisted by an advisory committee that includes representatives of government, industry and commerce, and the trade unions.
Categories span industries from construction and agriculture to vehicles and software, with winning businesses able to use the esteemed King's Awards emblem for the next five years. Previous international trade category winners have often boosted their overseas sales thanks to the recognition.
The awards also often recognise members of the consulting industry, with TSC joining a select group of UK businesses honoured for their outstanding contribution to international growth, innovation and excellence. Previous winners from the professional services sector include Boyd Consultants, DCA Design, Mason Advisory, Specialist Marine Consultants and Grant Thornton in 2018, Q5 in 2019, and Analysys Mason in 2021.
