Grant Thornton promotes two partners in audit practice

Two new partners have been named in Grant Thornton’s UK audit wing. Sreekanth Gaddamanugu and Dylan Rees are promoted as the firm looks to accelerate growth across the team.
Wendy Rusell, head of audit at Grant Thornton UK, commented, “I am absolutely delighted to welcome both Sree and Dylan to our audit partner team. Both have shown a real commitment to high quality and client service at a time when we are really focussed on growth and so I have every confidence that they will make a fantastic contribution as partners in their local markets. Both also live and breathe the firm's values, are inclusive and well respected by their teams. In that respect I know they will be great leaders of our audit practice going forward.”
Sreekanth Gaddamanugu specialises in mid-market audit and will lead and grow the Birmingham Private Audit business, focusing on building a private capital audit team. Based in Birmingham, he has experience working with both large listed companies as well as growing mid-market businesses in both the UK and globally, with specific experience in India – and also specialises in the automotive and manufacturing industries.
Gaddamanugu noted, “I’m looking forward to working with clients to discuss their growth ambitions, highlighting how high-quality can play a part in achieving them, providing them with valuable insights to help them achieve their overarching goals. A large part of my role will also be to drive further growth of our audit portfolio across our chosen markets, providing our talented team with opportunities for professional development. A core focus for me will be to continue fostering an inclusive environment for our team to grow, focusing on Grant Thornton’s culture of personal relationships and commitment to quality.”
Dylan Rees meanwhile leads audit engagements for a large variety of clients across Wales and the South West. Working from Cardiff, he works with a diverse range of clients within the mid-market, with a focus on private equity backed businesses.
Rees added, “I’m excited to be taking the next step in my career as Partner at Grant Thornton, a firm that has the interests of its clients and people at the heart of its culture. Having been part of the firm’s journey over the last 10 years, I’m looking forward to playing an important part in the next chapter, working closely alongside the rest of the team in continuing to provide high quality service to our clients and delivering on our growth ambitions.”
The UK Grant Thornton member firm is led by over 200 partners and employs over 5,500 of the profession’s brightest minds. The company is a business adviser offering clients independent assurance, tax and advisory services – and is currently looking to grow, following a historic injection of private equity funding from Cinven in 2024.
