BDO enters strategic partnership with The Safeguarding Alliance

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has entered into a strategic partnership with The Safeguarding Alliance. The move enables the organisations to jointly provide a range of safeguarding assurance and advisory services to clients globally.
Emily Konstantas, chief executive of The Safeguarding Alliance (TSA), said, “We are delighted to be partnering with BDO on such an important initiative, to accelerate the adoption of best safeguarding practice across organisations and sectors worldwide. Together we are able provide unique insight and innovative practical solutions to address the ever-evolving challenges of protecting children and vulnerable adults, mitigating risk and promoting positive change alongside BDO’s expansive global network."
TSA is a centre of safeguarding excellence with a network of safeguarding specialists. Working with governments and organisations globally to improve standards and practices and put an end to safeguarding failings, it will now work with BDO to build a common centre of excellence that offers a holistic suite of safeguarding advisory and assurance services to clients, broadening access to safeguarding expertise both nationally and globally.
UK-based BDO provides a wide range of services to clients through its consulting, risk and outsourcing practice, working closely with other members of the BDO international network in 166 countries. Through its new strategic partnership, BDO will leverage its skills and capacity to provide a range of safeguarding assurance and advisory services, designed to help organisations protect their staff, stakeholders and customers from the risk of harm and enhance safeguarding practice for wider public benefit.
Sarah Hillary, partner at BDO added, “I’m delighted to announce our strategic partnership with TSA and very excited by the opportunity this creates for TSA and BDO to work together in enhancing safeguarding maturity for the benefit of all. This partnership will extend the scope and depth of the safeguarding assurance and advisory services we are able to offer and complements the important work we already do in this area.”
