Alison Dickson joins BIP UK as Northern Ireland lead

BIP UK has installed a new partner to lead its services in Northern Ireland. Alison Dickson will also provide expertise to the firm’s energy and utilities line, bringing more than 20 years of experience to the role.
BIP is a multinational consultancy firm with a global team of over 5,500 professionals, which specialises in management consulting and digital transformation. Dickson joins the network’s UK wing at a pivotal time for the energy and utilities sector, as it looks to balance growing demand from the energy intensive data centre sector, with commitments to move to a net zero economy.
According to a release from BIP UK, Dickson’s expertise and leadership will be “instrumental in driving the firm’s strategy and growth in this dynamic market”. The statement added that the new BIP UK partner believes that “key investments in smart meters, AI, advanced data analytics, renewable energy, hydrogen, and nuclear power are not only reshaping the industry, but also providing companies with the opportunity to thrive”.
Dickson commented, “BIP has an exceptional track record in the European energy and utilities sector, built over more than two decades. There is a unique opportunity to shape our UK offerings in collaboration with the leadership team and continue delivering real value to both new and existing customers. Our technology-agnostic approach ensures that we identify and implement the best solutions for clients and their customers, always prioritising business value.”
A long career working with some of the world’s largest technology companies has seen Dickson work with firms such as Oracle, Wipro, and Palantir. Most recently she spent time as the vice president for energy and utilities at London-headquartered firm FirstSource.
Originally from Belfast, the move also represents something of a homecoming for Dickson, who will also serve as BIP UK’s head for Northern Ireland. She will now work to leverage her global experience to deliver sustainable solutions across the firm’s UK and Ireland markets.
Mattia Auteri, partner of energy and utilities at BIP UK, added, “We are pleased to welcome Alison to the team. Her extensive experience in digital transformation and her deep understanding of the energy and utilities sector will be invaluable as we expand our offerings in the UK market. Alison’s leadership will play a crucial role in driving sustainable, technology-driven solutions that support our clients through the industry’s ongoing evolution.”
