Midlands-based The Construction Consultants has been appointed to support a regeneration project in Lichfield. The development will create a new leisure complex in the city.

The Construction Consultants (TCC) has a wealth of experience across public and private sectors including industrial, commercial, retail, leisure, care and residential projects. The Birmingham-headquartered firm was brought onto the project to provide quantity surveying and employers agent services to the redevelopment of the former three-storey Debenhams store.

Looking ahead, the development, in the Three Spires shopping centre in Lichfield, aims to include a multi-screen cinema operated by Everyman, and food and drink outlets, including national chain The Botanist. The development also includes a roof terrace, outdoor seating and a public plaza.

With a nearby under-used multi-storey car park in Birmingham Road having already been demolished, work on the new development is already underway. Now, as employers agents, TCC will have responsibility for acting on behalf of site owners Rookman Properties – a joint venture between Lichfield District Council and Evolve Estates – to manage the project through to completion.

TCC co-founder and director Alex Pimley said, “We are delighted and honoured to have been appointed to this scheme that we know is very important to the people of Lichfield. The end result will be a vibrant hub for entertainment and socialising in heart of the city.”

Launched in 2017, TCC specialises in a wide range of disciplines, spanning project management, employer’s agent, quantity surveying, fund monitoring and CDM consultancy. As consulting firms in the sector look to bolster their offerings, ahead of spiking demand, many are onboarding key talent. Earlier in the year, the firm also announced a new communications strategy to help it win work.
