Ogilvy promotes André Laurentino and Jules Chalkley

Ogilvy has promoted André Laurentino to deputy CCO for its EMEA region. He will now work to support work across 50 offices across the continent, while Jules Chalkley steps up to assume oversight for Ogilvy’s UK creative department.
Under the umbrella of research and marketing giant WPP, creative network Ogilvy is a New York-headquartered British advertising, marketing, and public relations agency. It provides services in five areas: growth and innovation; advertising, brand and content; public relations and influence; experience; and health – while also operating a strategy division named Ogilvy Consulting – which ranks as one of the UK’s leading marketing consulting firms.
As the firm looks to strengthen its services to clients across Europe, Ogilvy has announced two new appointments from its UK office. First, André Laurentino, the current chief creative officer of Ogilvy UK, has been handed an expanded remit as deputy CCO of Ogilvy EMEA.
Laurentino has served as CCO of Ogilvy UK and a member of Ogilvy’s Worldwide Creative Council since 2018, having initially joined Ogilvy UK in 2014 as Global ECD for Unilever. During his tenure, working in close partnership with Jules Chalkley, Ogilvy UK has become one of the most awarded offices in the Ogilvy network. Working with Regional CCO Stephan Vogel, he will now support key creative efforts across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Laurentino commented, "I'm beyond thrilled to join Stephan and Patou in leading EMEA, a region that has consistently delivered outstanding creative work for Ogilvy. It's a dream come true."
Meanwhile, as Laurentino concentrates more on international matters, Chalkley will also enjoy an expanded role. Ogilvy’s chief executive director will now assume oversight for Ogilvy’s UK creative department.
He stated, “Ogilvy is a global icon of creativity and London has an incredible new energy. To be a part of that and to lead one of the most creatively diverse communities in the UK and to drive our cultural relevance is a wonderful opportunity.”
Since joining, Chalkley has been instrumental in driving culturally relevant and impactful work. Prior to Ogilvy, Chalkley created celebrated campaigns for IKEA, M&S, Land Rover, Virgin Atlantic, Missing Type and Made in the Royal Navy. He now brings this wealth of experience to bear on Ogilvy UK's creative future.
Liz Taylor, global chief creative officer at Ogilvy, added, “Dedé and Jules are a brilliant creative force, and their partnership over the past several years has been instrumental to Ogilvy UK’s creative resurgence… Nothing makes me happier than seeing both step into expanded roles within our network where they can truly expand their impact and influence.”
