Blick Rothenberg to acquires Greenback Alan in APAC expansion

UK headquartered audit, tax and business advisory firm Blick Rothenberg has secured a deal for fellow London accountant Greenback Alan. The move will allow Blick Rothenberg to grow its offering to clients in Japan and the southeast Asia region, where Greenback Alan has a long history.
Headquartered in London, Greenback Alan has spent more than 30 years catering to clients in the UK-Japan landscape. The combination of the Greenback Alan team’s cultural understanding with Blick Rothenberg’s existing depth and breadth; and the specialist technical expertise of both firms, means that the companies hope they will now deliver enhanced services, deeper insights, and innovative solutions to clients across the two markets.
Nimesh Shah, CEO of Blick Rothenberg, said, “I am thrilled to announce our plans to welcome the team from Greenback Alan to Blick Rothenberg, and the amazing opportunity this presents for our people and clients. Blick Rothenberg has a long history of supporting international businesses who wish to establish and invest in the UK, and this will build upon our existing strong offerings for clients headquartered in the East Asian region.”
Looking ahead, Shah believes that due to the unique business culture and practice in Japan, the team from Greenback Alan will be “perfectly placed to support Japanese businesses and private clients with an incomparable level of service and insight”. Meanwhile, leveraging Blick Rothenberg’s audit, accounting and business consulting business built up since 1945 will continue to help companies “flourish in London.”
Jon Fisher, deputy managing partner at Greenback Alan, added, “We are absolutely delighted to have found, in Blick Rothenberg, a like-minded firm that understands and so whole-heartedly believes in what we do. The move to Blick Rothenberg is a natural and empowering phase in the trajectory of the business, and a transformative opportunity for our clients. We are very much looking forward to realising the tremendous potential in the Japanese market and for all our clients.”
Fisher joined Greenback Alan after previously working at EY, and Nomura Asset Management. He focuses on audit, financial accounting and corporation tax and has supported a wide variety of businesses from overseas, particularly Japan who are establishing operations in the UK.
