Ryan, a leading global tax services and software provider, has completed the full integration of a leading grant funding and consultancy firm, Granted Consultancy, into the Ryan brand.

Granted Consultancy is a UK advisory firm headquartered in Exeter, with more than 30 staff serving clients across the country. In January 2023, it was purchased by Catax for an undisclosed fee.

Founded in 2008, Catax is a professional services firm specialising in capital allowances, research and development (R&D), and tax reliefs, as well as providing grant funding consultancy. With long-standing partnerships with ICAEW, the Law Society and IFA, the firm has helped clients identify over £330 million in tax benefit.

Following Catax’s own merger with Ryan, a global tax services and software provider, Granted Consultancy has now also been integrated into a single brand. Looking ahead, the integration of Granted Consultancy into Ryan has enhanced its service offering with the expansion of its Innovation Funding services and wider tax services. As it continues to support small and medium-sized innovative R&D-intensive businesses, Ryan is also expanding its offering to its broader client base, including meeting the needs of enterprise clients. This ensures that companies of all sizes can benefit from its full suite of funding and tax solutions.

“Ryan's Innovation Funding practice has grown from strength to strength,” says Jon C. Sweet, President of European and Asia-Pacific Operations. “The integration of Granted Consultancy brings all of our funding experts and services together under one brand and allows us to offer a comprehensive suite of funding and tax solutions that benefit companies of all sizes, helping them drive innovation and access a broad range of global opportunities.”

According to a release from the combined firm, Ryan can now provide end-to-end services, including grant writing consultancy, project management, R&D tax credits, and grant training, while helping clients leverage government incentives, rebates, reliefs, and non-dilutive funding across regions including Europe, Australia, Canada, and the US.
