M&A consultancy Arma Partners promotes Daniel Fugmann to partner
Financial advisory firm Arma Partners has announced the promotion of Daniel Fugmann to partner. He first joined the firm in 2021, and has since advised on multiple high-value deals.
Paul-Noël Guély, founder and managing partner of Arma Partners, commented, “This latest appointment confirms our exceptional momentum and ambition to take our firm to new heights by promoting and hiring exceptional bankers. Daniel has been instrumental to our success in Software and the broader Technology sector and I am delighted to welcome him to the partnership.”
Founded in 2003, Arma Partners is a London-based consultancy focused on mergers and acquisitions in the software domain. In the years since, the firm has evolved its corporate finance advisory practice across the communications, media and technology sectors, with its fee income first passing $100 million in 2021.
Fugmann joined Arma’s London office in 2021, first arriving as a director and was promoted to managing director in 2022. Since then he has advised on landmark transactions including the sale of EQT’s and TA Associates’ significant minority stake in IFS and WorkWave to Hg at a $10 billion valuation, among other high-value deals.
In his new role, Fugmann will join Guély and Varun Sunderraman in leading Arma’s Software practice. With a statement from Arma suggesting the firm will deliver another record performance in the financial year to March 2025, thanks to “significant market share gains”, Fugmann’s appointment will further strengthen Arma’s position advising companies and investors in the digital economy, as the firm continues to expand and scale its business.
Fugmann commented, “I am thrilled to join the Partner group at Arma where I will continue to focus on growing our leading Software practice, building on the strong foundation of success established by my fellow partners. We have a shared ambition to scale our firm’s global presence in the Digital Economy by delivering exceptional results for our clients; I am very excited to contribute to the next phase of growth and help drive our continued success.”
Arma Partners was recently rated gold for mergers and acquisitions in Consultancy.uk’s latest annual industry rankings.
