Oliver Jones joins H&Z as director in procurement team

Oliver Jones has joined H&Z Group’s UK wing, as a director in its procurement team. He arrives with the consultancy’s British team having doubled in size over the last two years.

Richard McIntosh, H&Z’s managing partner for the UK, commented via LinkedIn, “I'm delighted to welcome Oliver Jones to the H&Z Management Consulting team. Oliver… brings a wealth of procurement experience and knowledge to our clients.”

Founded in 1997, H&Z is a consulting firm specialising in strategy and performance, procurement, transformation, and sustainability work. With over 600 consultants in 14 countries, it has implemented over 3,500 successful projects.

In the last two years, the firm has been rapidly expanding its European footprint. In early 2023, this included the launch of a first UK office in London, and as the firm continues to build on that offering, Jones will help enhance its capacity in procurement work in particular.

As a director at the firm, Jones will particularly focus on procurement transformation, and advise on trends in the financial services and consumer products sectors. He brings 18 years of professionals services experience to the role, including a spell as head of procurement at for business energy and services at Engie’s UK and Ireland wing, time as a senior manager at Elixirr, and most recently spent a year as client solutions director at specialist advisory Procure4.

Speaking on his new challenge, Jones added, ”Joining H&Z’s UK team at this stage in their growth journey is very exciting and the opportunity to drive growth in key sectors is one I couldn’t turn down.
