Oracle consultancy Accelalpha snapped up by IBM Consulting
IBM has sealed a deal to acquire Oracle consultancy Accelalpha. The move aims to boost IBM Consulting’s services to accelerate clients’ Oracle Cloud Application adoption.
“IBM’s client and employee-centric culture and long-established scale and reach in more than 175 countries is a great fit for the next stage of our growth,” Nat Ganesh, CEO, Accelalpha, said of the merger. “We’re thrilled to bring our expertise in Oracle Cloud solutions and targeted domain and industry knowledge to bear together with IBM’s strength in generative AI and hybrid cloud.”
Founded in 2009, Accelalpha is a global provider of Oracle Cloud Applications consulting across advisory, implementation and managed services. Headquartered in the US, its team serves clients across North America, Europe, Asia, the Middle East and South America, with a focus on distribution, industrial and financial services sectors.
Over the last 15 years, Accelalpha has itself grown organically and through acquisition. Notable past acquisitions include Prolog Partners, Key Performance Ideas, LogistiChange and Frontera Consulting. According to Ganesh, this “history of being a pioneer in Oracle Cloud” will complement IBM’s “deep-rooted dedication to innovation that matters”, meaning the combined firm can “accelerate value creation” for clients.
IBM and Oracle’s partnership to serve clients spans almost 40 years. According to a release from the firm, Oracle applications have matured over that time in the depth of their functionality, while customers have prioritised working with more strategic services partners to enable transformation. Upon close, adding Accelalpha’s team to IBM Consulting will help its clients to modernise their Oracle Cloud Applications use, to those ends.
“Many enterprises depend on Oracle to run the workflows that are at the heart of their enterprise,” explained Kelly Chambliss, a senior vice president with IBM Consulting. “With our acquisition of Accelalpha, IBM will be even better positioned to help our clients deploy and manage Oracle solutions, including generative AI and cloud technology, for competitive advantage.”
