Avyse Partners appoints two senior executives
Avyse Partners has appointed two new senior executives to its team. Matthew Russell joins in the financial crime practice, while Marc Ireland arrives in the firm’s compliance wing.
Founded in 2021, Avyse Partners is a regulatory consultancy, specialising in financial crime prevention, conduct, compliance and ESG. Based in London, the firm is looking to expand its offering to firms across the country – and to add to its headcount.
Taking the boutique’s headcount to more than 20 members, Marc Ireland has joined Avyse’s compliance team. With the practice seeing unprecedented demand, extending the management team increases its ability to serve clients with complex regulatory challenges and interactions.
Ireland commented, “After some rest,relaxation and some-time supporting projects at a couple of fabulous businesses, I have decided that it is time to return to full-time employment. I am absolutely delighted to be joining Avyse, to co-lead their Regulatory Compliance practice. Their entrepreneurialism, authenticity, and passion to do the right thing for clients and their people is seriously refreshing.”
Ireland will be working alongside Senior Executive Kate Robinson. The pair have worked together previously, and she stated she was “excited for all the great things ahead for us and our clients, old and new.”
She added, “September always feels like a fresh start after the summer break, and we’re so excited to have Marc joining us! Having worked together before, I can’t wait for this next chapter. I’m really proud of the amazing team he is joining.”
Similarly, Avyse’s financial crime practice is seeing demand regularly outstrip supply. As a result, the firm has welcomed Matthew Russell as “a crucial building block” for the next stage of the team’s growth. According to the firm, he brings “a wealth of consulting experience that the whole firm will benefit from”.
On joining, Russell said, “As a financial crime practitioner who is passionate about helping clients to design and implement risk and compliance frameworks that are genuinely proportionate and outcomes-focused, joining the team at Avyse was the obvious next step for me. I am excited by the calibre of the financial crime professionals that I will be working with. But financial crime is often a symptom of wider issues being experienced by my clients. So the opportunity to work closely with the equally impressive experts across the firm to address these underlying challenges was also a big part of the reason for joining Avyse.”
Matthew will be working closely with Senior Executive Helen Murphy, who added, “I’m delighted that Matt has joined our Financial Crime Practice, and I am excited to work with him to strengthen our outstanding team even further.”
