Redwood Consulting undergoes MBO
Redwood Consulting directors Kate Bourne and Debbie Cracknell have taken control of the company via a management buyout. They have purchased the firm from its owners as they retire.
Founded in 1992, Redwood Consulting is a communications, media and public affairs consultancy headquartered in the UK. The firm specialises in UK and international real estate and the built environment, with its team of experienced communications strategists providing clients with strategic communications consultancy, positioning and reputation management, political and stakeholder communication, and marketing and brand consultancy services.
In its three decades of business, the firm has helped the property industry through peaks and troughs, working with blue-chip clients including TH Real Estate, Hermes Investment Management, M&G Real Estate, Schroders, Stanhope, AMF Fastigheter, Mitsui Fudosan, Leslie Jones Architects, and Lunson Mitchenall. Now, as the firm prepares for its next phase of growth, it has been sold to new ownership.
A management buyout (MBO) has seen managing director Kate Bourne and director Debbie Cracknell take on the company. Bourne and Cracknell, who have worked at Redwood Consulting for 25 and 30 years respectively, bought out the previous owners Lucy Close and Liz D’Oliveira as they retired from the firm.
“It is a privilege to be partnering with Debbie on this exciting new chapter for Redwood,” Bourne stated. “With a team consisting of media experts, former journalists, brand and reputation management consultants and political and stakeholder engagement specialists, we look forward to supporting our clients, existing and new, to thrive in the highly dynamic real estate market that we all work within.”
Headquartered in London, Cracknell added that the firm has “a solid foundation” based on more than 30 years in the industry. Looking ahead, she said the firm’s goal is now to “further develop and apply the responsive, entrepreneurial spirit of Redwood to bring real value to our clients”.
