David Owen joins Efficio as a senior advisor
Procurement consultancy Efficio has announced that Dave Owen has joined the company to advise on its global growth strategy. An expert in procurement and supply chain work, his advice will include C-suite engagement with blue-chip clients and supporting transformation programme development and deployment.
Simon Whatson, vice president at Efficio, commented, “We are delighted to have Dave on board. With his years of leadership, his experience and strategic vision will be invaluable assets as we navigate the next phase of our growth, across all sectors but particularly in the manufacturing and automotive areas.”
Founded in 2000, Efficio is a London-headquartered procurement and supply chain consultancy, which also has offices across Europe, North America and the Middle East. As the world’s leading procurement consultancy, Efficio supports hundreds of clients each year on a multitude of topics whether to generate hard benefits, mitigate supply market risk, or to streamline and automate processes.
Owen joins Efficio following three-decade career in procurement and supply chain in the automotive sector. This included senior roles at Jaguar Cars, Ford Motor Company, and Jaguar Land Rover. He most recently served as executive director, supply chain at Jaguar Land Rover, which included responsibility for global procurement.
An announcement posted on LinkedIn from Efficio has garnered more than 500 engagements from colleagues and well-wishers. Responding to the post himself, Owen thanked everyone for their kind words and wishes, and confirmed he had “been working with Efficio under the radar for a few months” already. Looking ahead, he added he was “sure we will do good and have some fun!”
Efficio has confirmed a number of senior appointments in recent months. Earlier, this also saw Malcolm Harrison also arrive as a senior advisor.
