Alex Horton joins Moore Kingston Smith as partner
Multi-disciplinary professional advisory firm Moore Kingston Smith has appointed Alex Horton as a partner in its media team. He brings more than a decade of experience advising clients in the entertainment sector.

The London wing of Moore in the UK, Moore Kingston Smith boasts over 70 partners and more than 700 people based in and around the capital city. In 2023, the firm celebrated its milestone of 100 years in business, and as it looks ahead to its second century, the firm has committed to a major expansion to grow its capabilities.
Moore Kingston Smith’s dedicated West-End office proactively supports the extensive range of needs of independent media businesses. It covers marketing services, film & TV and entertainment, theatre and CreaTech, and now hosts more than 100 media specialists.
Horton joins the team as a partner, and will use his 12 years of experience in guiding individuals and owner-managed businesses in the entertainment industry to advise clients across film, TV and theatre. In particular, he specialises in technical tax issues such as creative industry tax relief claims and a variety of HMRC tax inquiries. At the same time, he has extensive expertise in cross-border tax matters is supported by experience working with Los Angeles-based firms, overseeing US filing obligations and tax planning for UK clients.
