Evora establishes new Nordics presence
Tech-enabled sustainability solutions consultancy Evora Global has rolled out its operations in the Nordics region. The expansion of the UK-headquartered firm comes following its recent acquisition of Swedish data firm Metry.
Founded in 2011, by Chris Bennett, Paul Sutcliffe and Ed Gabbitas, Evora Global has rapidly grown over the past four years in particular, following the addition of key senior hires and as demand for action on sustainable finance and climate risk has risen up the agenda of corporations generally. The company has over 200 staff, and caters to more than 150 clients including Invesco Real Estate, Hines and M&G.
Buoyed by fresh investment from Bridges Fund Management, in 2022 the firm announced it would roll out the launch of a New York hub, as it sought to tap demand for ESG consulting in the North American investment sector. Now, as it continues to build a broader international presence, Evora has announced it will begin serving the Nordics region.
Evora offers clients a full suite of services designed to enhance environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, including climate resilience, sustainable finance, and data analytics and reporting via the firm’s SIERA software. With the launch of operations in the region, Evora is hoping to bring that expertise to an even broader audience, assisting investors and real asset owners to achieve their sustainability goals, and solving the issues faced by climate change.
Commenting on the expansion, Severine Melis-Cooper, Evora’s chief revenue officer, said, "We are excited to bring Evora's industry-leading sustainability solutions to the Nordics region. This expansion aligns with our commitment to supporting clients in their sustainability journey and addressing the unique challenges of the real asset sector in this dynamic market.”
According to a release from the firm, the strategic expansion is a key component of Evora's broader growth strategy, driven by increasing client demand for innovative and comprehensive sustainability services in the real asset sector. It also follows the company’s recent acquisition of the Swedish company Metry, a platform specialising in the collection of sustainability data.
Founded in 2012, Metry is headquartered in Göteborg, and works with companies to develop and use energy-saving technologies and IoT solutions, contributing to real change for the environment on energy data. Currently serving over 200 companies in more than 10 countries, Metry is actively expanding internationally to offer full data collection coverage in Europe.
Speaking on Metry’s parent company moving into the Nordics, Joel Torkelsson, Metry’s co-founder, commented, "Metry has been a foundational part of the sustainability data ecosystem in the Nordics for over 10 years. I am really excited that we now, together with Evora, can add industry leading sustainability solutions on top of that data providing a complete sustainability software and advisory for fund managers and real estate investors."
