New chief lawyer for HR Consultancy Mercer

Consulting firm Mercer has appointed Rian Miller as chief lawyer. She joins from Towers Watson, where she served as head of Legal for risk and litigation since 2010. She will report to Peter Beshar, EVP and legal lead of Marsh & McLennan and Julio Portalatin, CEO of Mercer.

Mercer is the HR consulting subsidiary of the global professional services firm Marsh & McLennan. In a press statement, Mercer said Miller brings broad expertise in legal issues in the areas of retirement, health and benefits, talent management, outsourcing and investments.
