First Actuarial appoints Camille French as consultant
Camille French has joined First Actuarial as a consultant. She brings three decades of experience to the role – having previously held senior roles at financial services entities including Barclays and JLT Benefits Solutions.
A comment from First Actuarial read, “With both DB and DC experience, Camille can help employers with the full range of pension provision they have in place. She will also support First Actuarial’s growing financial wellbeing team, delivering presentations and one-to-one sessions for employees.”
Founded in 2004, First Actuarial is a consulting firm which specialises in pension advisory services. The firm is headquartered in Leeds, but also has UK offices in Manchester, Peterborough, Tonbridge and Basingstoke.
The company has been expanding its offering to clients across the UK, amid a challenging environment for pensions funds. Recently this also saw Adam Michaels join First Actuarial as a senior investment consultant to its investment team, helping to expand its investment presence in the south of England.
As a consultant in First Actuarial’s employer services team, Camille French will focus on defined contribution (DC) scheme governance. She will also be responsible for providing advice to employers in sectors such as social housing and independent schools.
French joins the firm from HUB Pension Consulting where she was head of defined benefit (DB) solutions, and prior to this she held several roles at Corinthian Pension Consulting including head of member option projects and head of DB solutions.
Speaking on her new challenge, French added, “Wherever I’ve worked, relationship-building has been a focus for me. And at First Actuarial, I have a strong sense that everyone shares my commitment to clients.”
