Business and technology consultancy Slalom has added a senior expert to its Irish wing, with the appointment of Darren Kelly. Working from the firm’s Dublin office, he will lead the team’s Salesforce practice.

Commenting on the appointment, Slalom’s Salesforce UK and Ireland Co-Lead Simon Strudwick said, “I am thrilled to welcome Darren to our Slalom Ireland business. We have a brilliant and experienced leader in Darren who strongly represents Slalom’s people-first culture. Ireland is an important market for the growth of our Salesforce business and Darren’s knowledge and client expertise will be invaluable. We look forward to the impact he will have on our team, customers, and partners.”

Originally launched in the US in 2001, Slalom has since grown its footprint to eight countries. Last year, the award-winning firm passed the milestone of 13,000 employees worldwide, and its Irish operations have been a key part of that growth.

After successfully launching offices in London and Manchester, Slalom expanded its UK and Ireland presence across the Irish sea, to launch an office in Dublin earlier in 2023. As Ireland is a significant hub for Salesforce’s European operations – last year, the ERP giant generated $1 billion from its Irish operations – this has placed Slalom to be a key beneficiary of demand for Salesforce services.

Slalom already partners 400 of the most innovative technology companies in the world, including Salesforce, AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft, and Tableau. With more than 15 years of Salesforce consulting experience, Kelly’s leadership skills and technical expertise will be paramount in further building Slalom Ireland’s Salesforce practice – building deep relationships with clients and partners across the local ecosystem, and adding to an 80-strong UK and Ireland Salesforce team.

Prior to joining Slalom, Kelly spent the last two years with TEKenable, where he was salesforce practice lead. He has also held senior roles with Fluido, Cloudtech, and KCG Consultants Ireland.

Speaking of his appointment, Kelly said “I am delighted to be part of this next exciting chapter for Slalom Ireland. As Salesforce’s third largest partner globally, there is so much opportunity to bring Slalom’s expertise and experience to the market. Coupled with our fiercely human approach we are uniquely placed to help our clients fuel growth and innovation in their organisation, and I can’t wait to get started.”
