Headquartered in the UK and quoted on the AIM of the London Stock Exchange, Alpha FMC is a leading global provider of specialist consultancy services to the asset management, wealth management and insurance industries. Since its launch in 2021, aiming to help the financial services industry develop a roadmap for the post-pandemic business environment, Alpha’s insurance consulting wing has been growing rapidly. In the months since, the firm has built a team of dedicated insurance experts focused on providing consultancy and transformation services to clients in the insurance industry. Late in 2022, this also saw the arrival of Tony Sault as an executive director in the practice.

As a director in the practice, Newman will help build-out of the insurance regulatory risk and compliance proposition of the practice, while helping clients navigate the evolving insurance industry landscape more effectively. To do this, he will draw on a wealth of knowhow, accrued over 15 years in the public and private financial services space.

Having worked as a senior associate for the Financial Conduct Authority, he joined EY in 2011 to become a senior manager in its regulatory advisory practice. After four years with the firm, Newman moved into freelance engagements, before returning to the Big Four firm for a further six years – latterly as a partner in its wealth management wing.

Speaking on his new role at Alpha, Newman added, "I am delighted to be joining Alpha. The firm’s commitment to excellence and its client-centric approach align perfectly with my own values. I am excited to contribute my expertise in insurance regulatory risk and compliance to further enhance Alpha’s reputation and drive value for our clients. Together, we will navigate the evolving landscape, tackle new challenges and deliver exceptional results."
