Chartered Management Consultant of the Year Award: The 8 finalists

The Management Consultancies Association has announced the finalists for its annual Chartered Management Consultant of the Year Award.

Since 2017, the Management Consultancies Association (MCA) has been partnering with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to create a new qualification in the UK consulting sector. With the industry growing constantly, the launch of the Chartered Management Consultant Award (ChMC) sought to re-assure clients of the value for money they get from consultants.

As such, in the year since its official launch, more than half of the MCA’s members – including many of the consulting sector’s largest firms – have signed their staff up for the training.

To help acknowledge the landmark changes resulting from the ChMC’s launch, the MCA’s annual awards ceremony has begun handing out a prize for the Chartered Management Consultant of the Year. Now in the award’s second year, the MCA has unveiled the finalists for the 2023 edition of the MCA Awards.

Ann Francke, CEO of the CMI and judge, remarked, “The Chartered Management Consultant of the Year Award recognises the exceptional talent and expertise of consultants who have attained Chartered status. These individuals have demonstrated their commitment to maintaining the highest standards in management consulting, making a positive impact on their clients and colleagues. Congratulations to all the finalists for their outstanding achievements."

Among the individuals in contention for the award this year were professionals from three of the Big Four, as well as from two of the country’s largest engineering consultancies. The full list of nominees saw Jo Wraith of Arcadis; Ellie Wilkes and Rachel Dyges of EY; Louise Scott-Worrall and Rachel Woods from KPMG; Georgina Letts and Olivia Stanley from PwC; and David Orr of Mott MacDonald lauded for their progress since beginning their journey to chartered status.

Tamzen Isacsson, CEO of the MCA, said, "The ChMC accreditation provides a roadmap for consultants to continuously develop their skills and competencies, enhance their professional standing, and make a positive impact on the organisations and industries they serve. These individuals have showcased exceptional skills, knowledge, and dedication to the consulting profession."
