Protiviti adds Scot Glover to San Francisco Bay Area office
Protiviti has added risk advisory veteran Scot Glover to its San Francisco Bay Area office as Managing Director in its Internal Audit and Financial Advisory practice. In the new role, Glover will predominantly serve the firm’s technology and life sciences industry clients.
Glover was the Founder and CEO of Risk Advisory and Operational Improvement Advisors prior to joining Protiviti, where, over a period of two years, he led the firm and provided a range of IT, accounting and risk advisory to a range of organisations in the San Francisco Bay Area. Previously, between 2012 and 2014, Glover was a Partner at Grant Thornton, where he led the firm’s West Region Business Advisory Services. Between 2009 and 2011 Glover worked as a Partner at Armanino McKenna, where his primary responsibilities included business development and client service for business risk services.
Previous roles include serving as a Partner at EY, holding the role of Risk Advisory Services practice leader for the Pacific South West region, before which, he worked on dozens of internal audit, IT audit and royalty review engagements for the company’s Bay Area clients. Earlier roles include Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Santa Clara Construction and Development, for six years from 1990, a short stint as the Assistant Controller at AVCO Financial Services, and an earlier spell with EY, where he began his career in 1987.
Glover holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior and Industrial Relations from the University of California, Berkeley. In addition, Glover attended the Harvard Business School’s Strategic Leadership Program, and the Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management’s Executive Leadership Program. He is also a member of the AICPA (American Institute of Certified Public Accountants) and The Institute of Internal Auditors.
Protiviti’s announcement sees Glover join the firm’s San Francisco Bay Area office as a Managing Director in its Internal Audit and Financial Advisory practice. The new role will leverage Glover’s 28 years of professional business experience, in areas including risk advisory and internal audit, to help the firm’s clients in technology and life sciences industries assess, get to grips and mitigate key risks to effectively further their business ends.
Glover joins a long list of Managing Director appointments by Protiviti in 2016. In February, the consultancy announced the promotion of twenty-three of its Directors to the position of Managing Director, spanning experts across its functional groups, including IT Consulting, Internal Audit and Financial Advisory, Business Process Improvement, Risk and Compliance, and Data Management and Advanced Analytics.
