Isio promotes Emma Hudson and Laura Higgins to partner
Professional services firm Isio has promoted two of its company members to partner: Emma Hudson and Laura Higgins.
Emma Hudson has been with Isio for two years, having joined the firm two years ago from Mercer where she spent close to a dozen years. She currently leads the Midlands investment team.
Hudson provides investment advice to a wide range of clients, and has significant experience of working with larger DB pension schemes, having advised three £10+ billion schemes in the last few years.
Commenting on her promotion to partner, Hudson said: “My aim when I joined Isio two years ago was to advise significant clients and to be involved with winning new clients. Moving here has certainly delivered on both elements.”
In her new role as partner, Hudson will continue to have a role in the training and development of Isio’s people. “It is important to me that as we continue our rapid growth, we maintain our strong culture and develop our people.”
Laura Higgins has been with Isio her entire career, having previously worked for nearly fifteen years in the pensions advisory team at KPMG (which separated to form Isio in 2020). She is Head of Isio’s 70-strong Bristol office.
An actuary by background, Higgins specialises in advising sponsors of defined benefit schemes through corporate change projects, sales and acquisitions, and pension risk management.
More recently, Higgins has also focused on GMP equalisation. “This has been the most intellectually challenging and interesting part of my recent career, and I look forward to further advancing our solution and leading our national team.”
Commenting on her promotion to partner, Higgins said: “I was the first ever Summer Intern of KPMG’s pensions advisory team back in 2004 and I am proud to be here almost 20 years later and being promoted to partner.”
“As we continue to grow we are creating exciting career opportunities for our talented team here in Bristol and I look forward to continuing this in my role as partner.”
Andrew Coles, Chief Executive Officer of Isio, stated: “Emma and Laura have both made a fantastic contribution to our development and the services that we offer. Both are fresh, ambitious thinkers who embody our challenger mindset, and I am thrilled to welcome them to the partner group as we continue to extend our offering and win new clients.”
The partner appointments follow Isio’s announcement that it has completed the acquisition of Deloitte’s Total Reward & Benefits business, cementing its challenger status in the pensions advisory market.
