James Miller joins Pragma Consulting in director role
London-based boutique Pragma Consulting has strengthened its team with James Miller.
Appointed a Product Director, James Miller brings over 25 years of experience to the consulting firm, most of which he gained in the professional services and consulting worlds.
In his new role, Miller will focus on client delivery, as well as on expanding Pragma Consulting’s products and data & analytics propositions.
Founded in 1988, the 35-strong team of Pragma Consulting specialises in commercial advisory services to clients in the retail real estate, workplace and transport segments. The firm also has a number of products in its portfolio.
Miller has specialist expertise across data and technology strategy, customer analytics, location planning, target marketing, consumer research and the monetisation of new products.
He most recently worked for data consultancy Carruthers & Jackson (now part of Praesto Consulting) for two years, responsible for product/proposition development and the deliver of data transformations at clients. Before that, he held significant analytics and insight roles within the retail and real estate sectors, including with Dixons Retail and Intu.
As Head of Data & Analytics at intu, Miller established the UK’s largest shopping centre owner’s data and insight capabilities, with a focus on consumer and tenant performance across its high-profile destinations.
“The insight and expertise James brings to the Pragma Consulting team will be hugely beneficial to both the firm and our clients. Real estate and retail are sectors that he understands well, and while some corners of the market have been slower to adopt data-driven strategies, there is a huge opportunity for change and James’ capabilities will be key in helping our clients capitalise on the shifts,” said Alex Avery, CEO of Pragma Consulting.
Miller said: “Pragma Consulting’s expertise and reputation in this space is unrivalled, and as such it is great to be joining a firm that has a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of the real estate sector. I am hugely excited to return to a client-facing role, especially one where I can help to further improve Pragma Consulting’s already-impressive proposition and build on the team’s capabilities to unlock the economic, social and environmental benefits of places.”
Earlier this week, Pragma Consulting was named one of the UK’s leading advisors to the real estate sectors.
