Global professional services firm Kroll has expanded its compliance and risk function, with two senior hires. Paul Haworth and Sarah Colledge bring a combined 40 years of experience to the company’s restructuring advisory practice.

Kroll is an American corporate investigation and risk consulting firm established in 1972 and based in New York City. In 2018, Kroll was acquired by restructuring expert Duff & Phelps – with Duff & Phelps later deciding to rebrand itself as Kroll, a process it completed in 2022. Restructuring therefore remains a key component of the firm’s global remit – and as businesses contend with a myriad of issues in 2023, its services in the segment are highly sought after.

David Fleming, Kroll’s UK Head of Restructuring, said, “I am delighted to welcome Paul and Sarah to Kroll. At a time when the company is experiencing fast growth in uncertain market conditions, we are pleased to be strengthening the capabilities of our compliance and risk management function to meet the rising demand for our services.”

Haworth joins as a Senior Director and Head of Technical and Compliance based in Manchester. A qualified solicitor, he has spent over 20 years in the insolvency profession, joining Kroll from Begbies Traynor where he led the compliance team.

Colledge meanwhile joins as a Director in the London office. Colledge has over 20 years of experience in restructuring and specialises in solvent liquidations and corporate simplification matters. As a qualified insolvency practitioner, she joins Kroll from Moorfields Advisory.

Together, Haworth and Colledge will manage a team responsible for the maintenance and ongoing development of the firm’s systems and procedures relating to restructuring and insolvency assignments in the UK. They will both work to ensure the team reflects best practice and risk management standards for restructuring in the UK.

Fleming added, “I am confident that Paul’s and Sarah’s range and depth of technical expertise in restructuring will provide our team with the support they need to operate in a highly regulated environment while providing best-in-class service.”
