Leo Jones arrives at Channel 3 as Partner
Channel 3 Consulting has recruited Leo Jones as a Partner to boost its offering to clients in the social care sector. Jones is an award-winning consultant, having been lauded by the Management Consultancies Association for his work helping improve outcomes for special educational needs individuals.
Founded in 2009, Channel 3 Consulting is a digital healthcare advisory firm, headquartered in Southwark. The firm specialises in enabling organisations in the health, public and third sectors to realise the goals of digital transformation campaigns, while enhancing services and improving efficiency. The company’s team provides advisory, programme delivery and talent management services across the UK.
In the past 12 months, Channel 3 reports that is has won several digital transformation contracts in the UK and overseas. Buoying this demand, recent clients have included NHS England, Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, Greater Manchester ICS and Bermuda Hospitals Board – making the social care sector a key driver of growth with the firm, since it underwent a management buyout in 2021.
Over the last two years, the firm has enjoyed more than 40% growth, and as it looks to build on this momentum, catering to social care clients will be an important factor in Channel 3’s success. To that end, the company has confirmed the appointment of Leo Jones.
John Howard, CEO of Channel 3, remarked, “Leo has led some of the UK’s most forward-looking work on improving social care and healthcare services. His personal experience as a social worker gives him invaluable insight into what service users need, the role technology can play in making services better and how to work effectively with frontline staff to make change happen in a positive way. Having Leo in our team will give Channel 3 even more opportunities to help clients overcome the pressures that increasing demand, workforce shortages and tight budgets continue placing on the health and care sector.”
Jones arrives as a Partner with Channel 3, and will now work to support the company’s continued growth and further strengthen its position in the social care sector. A qualified social worker and children’s services manager with over 20 years of experience across consulting and the public sector, Jones will also become Channel 3’s Head of Delivery.
Prior to joining Channel 3, Jones was a Director at management consultancy IMPOWER. In his time with the firm, he led a range of complex and innovative whole-system transformation programmes across health and care, with a particular focus in the special educational needs (SEND) and learning disabilities sphere. His work in this space focused on driving earlier support for children with SEND, through the use of innovative digital assessment tools, and placed a greater focus on improving longer-term outcomes and supporting independence into adulthood – earning him the 2021 prize for ‘Thought Leader Consultant of the Year’ at the Management Consultancies Association Awards.
A passionate advocate of technology’s ability to deliver insights that can help change behaviours, Jones is known for his focus on evidencing the tangible human impact of digitalisation. Looking ahead, he hopes to use his new role to further help promote the positive impact technology can have in care.
Commenting on his appointment, Jones added, “I am thrilled to join a team that is so clearly passionate about what it does. With the health and care sectors at breaking point, the need for digital intervention is greater than ever before. Technology can of course drive efficiencies but perhaps more crucially, it can dramatically improve the day-to-day lives of those who deliver and receive vital services.”
