Simon Sherrington re-joins Analysys Mason as Research Director
Telecoms, media and technology consultancy Analysys Mason has hired Simon Sherrington as a Research Director in its networks practice. The news sees Sherrington return to the firm, having departed 13 years earlier.
“I am very excited to be returning to Analysys Mason,” Sherrington noted. “The company has established a reputation for the excellent quality and rigour of its research and market analysis over many years. I am looking forward to developing its research presence in the transport network market and helping to push forward the company’s thought leadership across its other research programmes. I am equally thrilled to be working with the many talented colleagues in Analysys Mason on delivering outstanding value and impact for clients.”
Sherrington left Analysys Mason for Innovation Observatory – a business he founded – in 2005. The company was formed to help clients working in the telecoms, media, IT and environmental technology sectors. During his previous spell with Analysys Mason, meanwhile, Sherrington took on a number of roles, including Head of Custom Research.
“I am delighted to welcome Simon back to Analysys Mason,” said Caroline Gabriel, Research Director at the company. “He brings significant knowledge and expertise in our key areas of coverage and will strengthen and deepen our research, supporting our strong commitment to quality and rigour.”
Returning to Analysys Mason as a Research Director, Sherrington will focus in particular on leading the new transport network strategies programme, as well as driving expansion of our forecasting capabilities and thought leadership across many other programmes.
Analysys Mason’s domain expertise and thought leadership is further underpinned by its globally respected research and data capabilities, which form an essential resource for strategic planning, investment, and benchmarking. The firm’s head office is in London, while it also hosts offices in Bonn, Cambridge, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Kolkata, Lund, Madrid, Manchester, Milan, New Delhi, New York, Oslo, Paris, Singapore and Stockholm.
The appointment follows a dual-hire in November 2022. Ethemcan Bakirlioglu and Giovanni Parenti both joined Analysys Mason as partners.
