Communications advisory firm Liquid has opened a new office in Australia. The UK firm is expanding Down Under as it looks to grow its global presence.

Founded in 2004, Liquid is a consultancy specialised in communications and public relations. With core offices in Birmingham and London, the firm started its international expansion 11 years ago, when it acquired offices in Jersey and Guernsey – and it has since continued to grow its international client base, working with businesses in Canada, Luxembourg, Hong Kong and Australia.

As the firm looks to better service clients in that last locale, Liquid has announced it is launching a new office in Brisbane. Following its recent incorporation of Liquid Australia, the firm will also take on new opportunities through the office, both servicing other businesses expanding into the Australian market, as well as Australia based companies looking to strengthen their operations in Europe.

Liquid’s Chief Executive Officer, Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, commented, “We are very excited to announce Liquid Australia, our expansion down under, and increase our global footprint. The Brisbane office will allow us to support our UK based clients in new ventures as well as welcome a whole new roster of clients to the Liquid family.”

Lewis-Jones went on to thank the Brisbane Economic Development Agency and Queensland Trade and Investment for their support in enabling the move. Meanwhile, she also praised the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce for the role it played in supporting the firm’s international growth. Grant Thornton’s UK and Australia wings also assisted in the launch, having supported Liquid in the restructuring of the business and setting up in Queensland.

Liquid Down Under

With the city set to host the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Liquid is joining our community at the start of a very exciting time. Looking ahead, Hollie Jones, Senior Account Director at Liquid, will head up a small team from Birmingham, who will work in Brisbane to complete the set up. Once established, Liquid Australia will be offering job opportunities and internships for local talent, as well as secondments to their team both in the UK and Australia.

Also commenting on the news, Warren Bartlett, Deputy Commissioner & Director, Investment for Europe at Queensland Trade and Investment, added, “We are happy to see Liquid making the move to Queensland, the fastest growing economy in Australia, and look forward to welcoming them to the local business community. With a wealth of opportunity awaiting Liquid’s arrival in Queensland, I wish them the best of luck in achieving their goals and pleased to have been able to play a part in their move to Australia.”
