Adrian Walker joins Alvarez & Marsal as Senior Advisor
Former Lloyds Banking Group executive Adrian Walker has joined Alvarez & Marsal as a Senior Advisor. His arrival offers important insight to the firm’s clients, according to Managing Director David Edmonds.
“We’re continuing to hire the industry’s most experienced hands to help clients solve complex issues facing the sector,” Edmonds, who is Head of Financial Services at Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) continued. “Adrian has hands-on experience helping financial institutions navigate times of crisis and a track record of capturing opportunity and delivering opportunities; while his record of developing and implementing value-based strategies through relentless execution makes him an invaluable asset to our team and our clients.”
Walker previously spent more than a decade with Lloyds Banging Group, overseeing key responsibilities at a time when it sought to recover from the financial crisis of 2008. In 2010, he was appointed Chief of Staff to the then Chief Executive of the bank, António Horta-Osório, while the organisation underwent a significant turnaround, having merged with HBOS. He held a number of other senior roles in the following years, including Head of Global Transaction Banking, Group Chief Investment Officer, and Chief Operating Officer of its technology business.

As a Senior Advisor, Walker will continue the expansion of A&M’s financial services industry practice. He will help bring deep operational experience and practical support to clients, particularly those in need of operating model transformation, performance optimisation and turnaround services.
The appointment also follows a number of senior appointments by the practice in the last 12 months. In April 2022, A&M announced it had hired Rav Hayer, Faisal Ahmad and Ian Foottit as Managing Directors, strengthening the practices digital banking, payments, data and intelligence offerings.
