Alpha FMC makes Chris Kroeger lead of UK asset and wealth team
Chris Kroeger has been named the new Head of UK Asset and Wealth Management at Alpha FMC. An Alpha alumnus, Kroeger said he was “thrilled” to return to Alpha FMC, having left the year before.
Kroeger went on, “These are fascinating times in the asset and wealth management sector. From firms having to defend their margins whilst dealing with regulatory and compliance challenges, to putting customer outcomes and values at the core of their offering, asset managers are having to reinvent their operating models to deal effectively with data and manage large scale transformation programmes.”
Alpha FMC is a global consultancy to the asset management, wealth management and insurance industries. Kroeger will take over his role from Stuart McNulty – the former head of Asset and Wealth Management (AWM) at the firm. McNulty is moving to a new role with Alpha FMC as Global Head of Insurance Consulting and will remain part of the global leadership team for AWM.
Luc Baque, Global Head of AWM Consulting at Alpha FMC, said of the outgoing McNulty, “Stuart has done an incredible job leading the UK AWM Consulting business over the last seven years, and we have seen the business go from strength to strength during his tenure.”
Kroeger will meanwhile be responsible for a team of around 200 consultants, working on cutting edge change projects across all of the UK’s top asset management firms. An Alpha FMC alumnus, he returns to the firm after a year away – having spent the last 12 months as Global Head of Change and Transformation at HSBC Asset Management. Prior to that, Kroeger spent eight years at Alpha FMC as a Director within the AWM practice. Earlier in his career, he also held senior roles at Accenture, during a three-year stay.
