Restructuring expert Lucy Brocklebank rejoins FTI Consulting
FTI Consulting has welcomed Lucy Brocklebank back to its ranks as a Managing Director. She returns to the firm having spent the three years with KPMG’s restructuring wing.
Christopher Ruell, a Senior Managing Director in the Corporate Finance & Restructuring segment of FTI Consulting, stated, “To meet growing demand, we are committed to adding experienced consultants such as Lucy to the team. Her expertise and insights will be highly valued by clients. We are delighted to welcome Lucy back to the firm.”
The move comes against a backdrop of uncertain market conditions and ongoing operational disruption, causing a perfect storm for firms whose funds were already depleted from a tough two years. Compared to pre-pandemic levels, company insolvencies are now 42% higher in England and Wales. With that set to rise further, FTI and other restructuring providers expect to see strong demand from clients for their business transformation solutions.
Lucy Brocklebank brings 15 years of experience in finance leadership and project management to FTI, having working through restructurings, turnarounds and large-scale transformation projects, financial planning and analysis and stakeholder engagement. She returns to FTI having last been a Director in its UK wing in 2011.
For six years after departing FTI, Brocklebank was co-founder and Managing Director of MILK Wellbeing, before joining KPMG’s restructuring wing. She spent three years there, before the Big Four firm sold off its restructuring practice to become the firm now known as Interpath. She remained as a Director with the company in its inaugural business year.
Brockleback has particular expertise in financial planning and analysis, project management, financial forecasting, transformation implementation and stakeholder engagement strategies. She returns to FTI Consulting with deepened experience in advising and leading large-scale complex restructuring for corporates, private equity and governments.
Commenting on her appointment, Brocklebank added, “It is exciting to return to FTI Consulting after more than a decade. The firm has grown considerably since I was last here, and its leading reputation for transformations and corporate finance transactions is one of the reasons I was so keen to rejoin the firm. I look forward to working with colleagues to support the segment’s future growth.”
