British consultancy Simply Sustainable expands into Amsterdam

UK headquartered ESG consultancy Simply Sustainable has launched a new office in Amsterdam. The firm expands into the Netherlands as it looks to win new clients throughout mainland Europe.

Founded in 2010, Simply Sustainable is a consulting firm which has been operating for over 12 years, helping clients realise achievable pathways to reach their ESG, net zero and sustainability goals. With offices in London and Berkhamsted, the firm has become recognised as a thought leader in the sector, with technically qualified consultants who wield deep expertise.

As the company looks to meet growing demand for ESG and net zero strategy services across Europe, Simply Sustainable has announced the opening of a new office in Amsterdam. The move establishes the firm’s first international office, and a key ground presence for the consultancy’s client base across the European mainland. Amsterdam is considered both a model in sustainable city planning, and a gateway area to Europe, due to its strategic location between Europe’s largest economies.

To help make the most of opportunities in this key market, Simply Sustainable’s office base will be led by newly appointed Country Manager, Sytze Dijkstra, who will be joining the team following 15 years’ experience in sustainability strategy and energy. Throughout his career, Dijkstra has advised multiple companies on strategies for accelerating the transition to sustainable business practices, and previously led on sustainability research at Accenture.

Commenting on the expansion, Simply Sustainable’s CEO, Nicola Stopps, said, “Simply Sustainable has grown exponentially since launching in 2010. The move sees several more new appointments for Simply Sustainable occur, as its expansion adds the need for new leadership capabilities. RoseMarie Egglesfield will take on the role of Group Head of Client Development, bringing together client development and marketing teams. Meanwhile, at Simply Sustainable’s UK headquarters, Jane Cumisky will take on the role of Managing Consultant for UK and Ireland, following a career of over 20 years advising corporates on their communications and ESG protocols, delivering on external and internal initiatives including experience with TCFD reporting, committing to science-based targets for emission reductions and establishing carbon offsetting programmes in line with policy.
