A cohort of eight graduates has joined property consultancy Cluttons. Lewis Quinn, Nancy Taylor, Elise Rutler, Jamie Katz, Jessie Leung, Tom Woodfield, Tara Bellamy and Will Simpkins join the firm as it looks to boost its internal diversity.

For the first time, graduate joiners at Cluttons will see stints in business development and research become part of their rotation. The move comes as the company seeks to balance out the value associated with both the fee earning and the operational side of the business, as well as to improve its diversity and inclusion initiatives.

The rotation process aims to help the new arrivals demonstrate business development skills and an understanding of how to use research effectively are critical to the future success of the company. Ultimately, this will help them develop their careers in a direction of their choosing at Cluttons.

James Gray, Managing Partner at Cluttons, said, “Myself and the wider Cluttons leadership team have invested significant time in developing an inclusive business with a culture that promotes talent and diversity at all levels. We are pleased that this new group of graduates is well-balanced in terms of their talent, background and gender.”

Lewis Quinn and Nancy Taylor have joined the infrastructure team; while Elise Rutler and Jamie Katz will start out in commercial valuations. Jessie Leung has arrived in business development and research; Tom Woodfield joins transactions and development agency, Tara Bellamy starts in residential valuations and Will Simpkins takes up a role in residential agency.

Cluttons is known for its progressive approach to developing staff, with a number of rising stars fast-tracked in recent years to senior fee-earning positions thanks to their behaviour, commitment and expertise. The company has also been working hard to diversify its business among its current roster of staff. In its recent promotions round, over 75% of those successful were from underrepresented groups which underpins the company’s commitment to a more diverse future leadership team.

The company also recently appointed Paula Viner as the firm’s business development lead, to spearhead further growth.
