Hitachi Consulting introduces SAP for Enterprise Cloud

SAP and Hitachi Consulting are partnering to provide the Industrial Machinery & Components industry with a complete cloud-based SAP integrated solution for their IT system needs. The offering is said to reduce costs by up to 25% compared to full on-site implementation.

The need to scalable and adaptable digital solutions has been on the rise in recent years, as third party cloud-based computing solutions come to compete with tradition in-house IT development. The benefits of cloud-based solutions vary depending on need. In the banking sector, for instance, such solutions provide a cost effective and scalable means for new entrants to compete, while in other sectors they provide, among others, a means of overcoming legacy systems.

In a bid to provide Industrial Machinery & Components players with a cloud based digital solution to varying needs, SAP and Hitachi Consulting recently announced a partnership. The two players will work together to provide clients with a fully integrated Hitachi Consulting Enterprise Cloud for SAP, extending on the Hitachi Consulting Enterprise Cloud solution offering unveiled last year.  According to the firms, the subscription-based cloud solution is able to decrease the total cost of ownership by 25% compared to full on-site implementation, and eliminate traditional IT overhead and up-front perpetual licensing costs.
