Rohit Garg has joined EY’s partnership, as its financial services cloud team leader. He joins as EY looks to double the size of its financial services technology consulting practice in the UK.

Usage of cloud computing in finance has skyrocketed throughout the pandemic. The shift to remote working resulted in more financial businesses utilising cloud-based technologies than ever before, with one report from IDC finding that 89% of banks were currently operating with or planning to operate with a hybrid cloud solution. Offering better scalability, sustainability and security, uptake of cloud solutions shows no signs of slowing, either.

The potential of the cloud for financial services firms looking to digitally transform their businesses is enormous and demand for consultants who can help the transition to cloud is therefore set to spike.
