PA appoints Faraaz Nakvi as partner in financial services practice
PA Consulting has strengthened its financial crime offerings with a new partner. Working within the financial services practice, Faraaz Nakvi will help clients battle financial crime and meet regulatory compliance.
Gavin Neilson, Global Head of Financial Services at PA Consulting, said, “I’m delighted to welcome Faraaz to the financial services team at such an exciting time. Faraaz is uniquely placed to develop and foster innovative strategy, with his extensive experience in financial crime regulation.”
In his Partner role, Nakvi will lead PA Consulting’s financial crime advisory unit. He brings over twelve years of experience devising successful financial crime regulatory strategies and leading financial crime transformations.
Nakvi said, “The PA brand is synonymous with leading edge innovation and agile capability to drive meaningful change, underpinned by subject matter experts and strategic know-how. I look forward to helping clients transform to drive efficient and effective outcomes against a backdrop of evolving regulatory, operational, people and market challenges.”
Financial services firms are presently seeking greater value through digitisation, enhanced customer experience and a labour force set up for future success. This includes a growing appetite for RegTech solutions, which are disrupting traditional delivery models.
Nakvi brings extensive experience, both in those traditional modes of working, as well as new digital processes. Specialising in financial crime compliance, his most recent role saw him work as Senior Director in the forensic capability of KPMG, working with a range of key banking clients and leading large-scale teams to deliver end-to-end regulatory, digital transformation and process enhancement engagements.
Prior to this, Nakvi led a successful financial crime practice at Promontory Financial Group.
PA’s financial services experts combine deep knowledge of banking, insurance, pensions, payments, private equity, and asset management. The firm works with global banks and insurance companies, with recent client work including helping HSBC digitise its organisation from the ground up, supporting Aegon to transform and take more agile approaches, and assisting ING in to becoming a leader in platform innovation.
