Capita appoints head of teachers' pensions
Alistair Dennis has been promoted to lead the teacher’s pensions wing of Capita Pensions Solutions. He brings over 14 years’ experience managing teams across the financial services industry to the role.
Capita Pensions Solutions creates and implements resilient and responsible pension strategies for clients from all walks of life. From pensions administration and consultancy, to the latest technology and engagement techniques, the firm helps ensure sustainable investments which support your success. In the UK alone, the firm administers over 450 pension schemes with 4.3 million scheme members, offering an extensive range of customisable modules through our market-leading pensions software solutions.
Alistair Dennis will now lead the team within that business which focuses on teachers’ pensions. Assuming his new role in late-June 2022, Dennis takes the position following the retirement of current head Richard Giles, who will support the transition until September.
Capita Managing Director Stuart Heatley said, “Alistair has already begun working with Richard to ensure a smooth transition, and I am looking forward to continuing to develop our collective focus on providing an excellent service to Teachers’ Pensions in the coming years.”
A former Rolls Royce and Hitachi Rail Europe Manager, Dennis joined Capita in 2016. Since then, he has held a number of leadership positions across the firm. Most recently this saw him take the role of Strategic Account Director for Capita Pensions Solutions, in late 2020.
Capita is an international business process outsourcing and professional services company headquartered in London. The firm has spend recent months re-shuffling its business portfolio to weather the pandemic, and strengthen its capabilities for the future. At the start of the year, this saw it sell off IT services suite Trustmarque, in order to meet a £700 million disposal target.
