Arma Partners appoints six new partners and managing directors
Hot on the heels of announcing a record year, financial advisory firm Arma Partners has appointed six new partners and managing directors.
Andrew Wheatley has been with Arma Partners since 2017 and has been promoted to partner. He brings 15 years of corporate finance experience and a track record of transactions in technology and telecoms to the partnership.
Prior to Arma Partners, Wheatley held positions at Deloitte in its corporate finance wing, in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs and the transactions services team at KPMG. During his career, he has advised private equity and corporate clients, including Nikon, Colt Group, Fairfax Media, FPE Capital, Foresight Group and Bowmark Capital.
Bruno Nehmé joined Arma Partners in 2018. Now a partner, he has over 15 years of M&A and financing experience. Prior to joining the consultancy, he led JPMorgan’s Strategic Investments team in Europe, where he invested in and managed a portfolio of strategic investments in FinTech, sitting on the Board of select companies.
Prior to that, Nehmé worked as a banker within JPMorgan’s Financial Institutions Group and advised clients across Europe on M&A and financing transactions.
Meanwhile, the quartet of Daniel Fugmann, Ilgit Beygo, Eike Marx, and Shajeed Surani have been appointed as managing directors.
Daniel Fugmann joined Arma Partners last year with over 12 years of investment banking experience under his belt, having successfully advised on over 30 transactions globally with a strong focus on application software and technology.
He previously worked at GCA Altium, Evercore and Morgan Stanley in London. He has advised private and publicly listed clients across EMEA and the US on sell-side, buy-side, take-privates, IPOs and financing mandates.
Ilgit Beygo has been hired externally from Roland Berger, where he worked on mergers & acquisitions in the software and fintech space. Previously Beygo held transaction advisory roles at EY-Parthenon and Oliver Wyman in London.
His track record includes supporting private equity funds, professional investors and portfolio companies across EMEA and North America on commercial due diligence and strategic advisory assignments.
Eike Marx joined Arma Partners in 2016. His previous experience includes senior finance and strategy positions in technology companies; in venture capital, and in technology investment banking with Morgan Stanley and Perella Weinberg Partners.
Marx has advised on numerous transactions, including M&A, capital raising and debt transactions representing more than $40 billion in aggregate value, notably in the areas of software and technology.
Shajeed Surani joined Arma Partners in 2015. Previously, he spent over six years at Citigroup in the M&A team across multiple geographies including UK, UAE and India with a primary focus on the communication, media, and technology sectors.
During his career, Surani has advised on over $12bn worth of M&A transactions, IPOs and financings and worked with leading companies including MessageLabs, Orascom Telecom, Axon Group, Etisalat, Navteq, as well as leading Gulf-based financial services and real estate companies.

In its latest financial year (the 12 months to 31 March 2022), Arma Partners advised on 35 transactions, a record for the firm. This includes advising on EQT and TA Associates’ partial sale of IFS and WorkWave to Hg at a $10bn valuation, Forterro’s $1.1 billion acquisition by Partners Group, and Allocate’s $1.4 billion sale to RLDatix.
