Stephanie Beaumont named Associate Partner at EY
EY has appointed an Associate Partner to the firm’s Newcastle leadership team. Stephanie Beaumont has been promoted to the role from within the firm.
Michael Scoular, Office Managing Partner for EY in the North East, commented, “Stephanie’s expertise and leadership will strengthen our footprint in the North East. Her promotion demonstrates EY’s continued commitment to investing in our people.”
The appointment is part of a wider growth plan for EY in Newcastle and across the region. EY’s UK & Ireland wing is set to spend £75 million on beefing up its consulting wing throughout 2022. More than half of the new roles will be based outside of London. This will see EY look to grow its teams throughout cities including Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, and Birmingham, as well as Newcastle.
Beaumont joined EY in 2007 as an experienced hire, based in the Newcastle Assurance practice. Previously she spent three years in accountancy and professional services with Saffery Champness, before moving to the Big Four firm. She had recently celebrated reaching the milestone of 15 years with EY.
During her time at the company, Beaumont has worked with a diverse portfolio of clients from the private and public sector, including a number of the North East’s largest companies. Locally, she is also Newcastle’s Audit Quality Leader and North Transformation Leader, and she supports the EY Quality team nationally.
Looking ahead, Beaumont said, “I’m looking forward to building on my promotion to Associate Partner and joining the Newcastle Leadership team by growing our presence in the region’s assurance market. Progressing to Associate Partner is a proud moment in my career and I have received incredible support from EY throughout my journey. In EY Newcastle, we have a fantastic team of talent and work with an inspiring range of companies.”
