Liquid re-launches free virtual work experience
West Midlands consultancy Liquid is re-launching its virtual work experience for sixth form and university students. The sessions give students across the UK the opportunity to gain an understanding of PR, social, and digital marketing in snapshot, 2-hour sessions.
Founded in 2004, Liquid is a consultancy specialised in communications and public relations. The firm has offices in Birmingham, Jersey, Guernsey and London.
In recent months, the firm has committed to a string of hires as it looks to bolster its capacity. Meanwhile, it has built a strong junior team via its work experience offerings, and Liquid is keen to support more young people in their journey to starting a career in the communications industry.
As the pandemic continues to limit the amount of face-to-face business it is possible to accommodate, Liquid has re-launched its virtual work experience for sixth form and university students. The sessions give students across the UK the opportunity to gain an understanding of PR, social, and digital marketing in snapshot, two-hour sessions.
Liquid CEO, Elisabeth Lewis-Jones, commented, “We appreciate that finding work placements and work experience opportunities can be extremely competitive, so we’re pleased to offer our own virtual sessions which give everybody a chance to learn and grow. Giving back means a lot to our team and nurturing new talent is an integral part of who we are.”
Taking place on the 21st and 22nd of February, this year’s sessions ‘An Introduction to PR’ and ‘An Introduction to Social and Digital’ are both endorsed and certified by the Public Relations and Communications Association. Hosted by Liquid’s junior team , they are aimed at giving participants both valuable insights and a certificate as proof of participation. Spaces are still available for both virtual work experience events, with room for 300 students from across the country to attend each session.
“Our last virtual sessions were a great success, with 240 students attending, so we can’t wait to welcome lots of eager-to-learn students to these additional sessions,” Lewis-Jones added.
