CIL promotes James de La Salle, James Silk and Simon Mocatta
CIL Management Consultants has welcomed in the new year with a round of promotions across its senior team. In the UK, this has seen James de La Salle and James Silk join the firm’s partnership, while Simon Mocatta has become an Associate Director.
2021 was a year of rapid growth for CIL Management Consultants, an international advisory firm with offices in the US, Europe, and UK. The firm specialises in strategy consulting, assessing and building business plans, identifying market opportunities and due diligence. Over the last 12 months, this positioned the firm to enjoy a 15% year-on-year rise in engagements and the opening of the German office in Munich. In addition, 60 analysts and consultants also joined the business in that time.
Commenting on the promotions, Giles Johnson, Managing Partner at CIL said, “We are delighted to start the year announcing this round of promotions across both of our UK and US offices. These talented members of the team have significantly contributed to the success of our business, and they will continue to strengthen our firm’s expertise in their practice areas. We want to congratulate them and wish them every success in their new roles.”
James de La Salle has been promoted to Partner and will head up CIL’s Built Environment team from London. De La Salle has been with the firm for nine years, having joined from Parabis Group, where he was a Graduate Project Manager. He has since focused on construction and building projects, and has significant experience in business services, particularly legal services, and is responsible for overseeing all the firm’s engagements in this sector and CIL’s construction forecasting.
James Silk has also been promoted to Partner. He joined the firm ten years ago, having previously been a Manager at Rosette Merchant Bank, and a Financial Analyst with Houlihan Lokey. Based in Frome, he has a wide range of sector experience including acute services, dental, veterinary, social care, medical products, and pharma. As Partner, he will lead engagements with private equity and corporate clients in healthcare, social care and life sciences.
Simon Mocatta has also been elevated within CIL’s London-based Built Environment practice. Mocatta becomes Associate Director, having been with the firm since 2015. In that time he has worked on engagements across Europe, the US and Australasia, and has experience operating across the built environment supply-chain, with specialisms in HVAC, infrastructure, hire and lighting. Mocatta specialises in working with high growth businesses in the Built Environment Sector who are seeking consulting support throughout the investment lifecycle.
CIL’s promotions also occurred on the other side of the Atlantic. CIL’s Chicago-based office saw Ian Cook become an Associate Principal. Having joined the team in 2015, Cook has significant experience advising financial and strategic investors in M&A and growth strategy.
