Benoit Hudon named President and CEO of Mercer UK
Global consulting firm Mercer has installed a new UK CEO and President. Benoit Hudon moves into the role, having spent the last three years as Head of Wealth with the firm’s British wing.
After two years in the role, Sylvia Pozezanac has stepped down as the President and CEO of Mercer UK. Pozezanac, who joined from Prudential Financial in 2019, was tasked with maximising the potential of Mercer’s Jardine Lloyd Thompson acquisition, by Mercer’s parent company Marsh & McLennan. As she leaves the firm, this work will be continued by her successor.
Mercer has announced Benoit Hudon will take on the dual role of President and CEO, subject to FCA approval. Hudon has over 25 years of experience in risk and Human Resources management consulting. He brings to the CEO role a passion for the collective success of clients and colleagues, a deep understanding of the UK market and business, and a track record of driving innovation and results.
Mercer President and CEO, Martine Ferland, said, “Benoit has consistently delivered for our business, amplifying the differentiated value Mercer brings to our clients and unlocking the full potential of our colleagues. I look forward to continuing to partner with him and the UK team as we look ahead to a bright future.”
Hudon has spent the past nine years at Mercer creating more secure financial futures for Mercer clients and their employees in various leadership roles, including Global Defined Benefit Leader, Europe & Pacific Wealth Leader, Mercer Canada Retirement Leader and Mercer Canada Retirement Innovation Leader. Since late 2018, he has been Mercer’s UK Head of Wealth, and he maintains this role while joining the global Mercer Executive Leadership Team. He will report to Martine Ferland, President and CEO of Mercer and Vice Chair, Marsh McLennan.
Commenting on his appointment, Hudon added, “It has been a privilege leading our UK Wealth business, especially as we help our clients navigate the complexity of the pandemic and work to achieve sustainable outcomes. I'm thrilled to take on this expanded role and represent Mercer as an entity in the UK and help make a difference in people’s lives."
