Paul Lockey takes leadership role with Axxsys Consulting

Axxsys Consulting has named Paul Lockey as its new Global Head of Front Office Technology, bringing with him 18 years of experience in leading transformation engagements in the financial sector.

Philip Ritchie, Global Head of Investment Technology at Axxsys, said the addition means the firm is now “well positioned to help clients see the outcomes they expect from their technology investments.”

A specialist consulting firm (part of Alpha FMC) for the investment management sector, providing a range of services from advisory, managing change and operational support.

Axxsys is currently seeing more firms look to improve their front office efficiencies. Hockey’s arrival comes as Axxsys expands the capabilities of the team to meet this increasing demand for front office implementation support.

In this new role, he will look to increase the Axxsys footprint within front office technology, expanding the current team of Charles River IMS experts and bolstering the team to deliver services across other platforms such as BlackRock Aladdin. Putting his 18 years of experience in the financial sector to good use, Lockey will also use his extensive knowledge to directly consult to clients on best practice that will add significant value to implementations and management of front office tools.

Lockey joins from Accenture, where he was Head of Buyside Technology. He led a dedicated team of specialists in business analysis, configuration, interfacing, data and testing. He also helped to manage partnerships with key industry vendors, including Bloomberg, Charles River Development, BlackRock Solutions and SimCorp.

Before his time with Accenture, previous roles included senior positions at Charles River, Daiwa Asset Management and Brown Brothers Harriman.
