Barrie Berg joins global leadership of Eden McCallum
Consulting firm Eden McCallum has added former Booz Allen Hamilton partner Barrie Berg to its global partnership. Berg, who relocates from New York back to Europe, will be based out of the firm’s London office.
Before joining Eden McCallum, Berg served as CEO of ?What If!, a global innovation consultancy founded in 1992 with five offices globally, including in London and Manchester. Prior to her four-year spell at ?What If!, she worked as an independent consultant for seven years, serving a broad range of corporates as well as private equity clients and their portfolio companies. Between 1998 and 2003 Berg was employed by Booz Allen Hamilton, in her last role serving as a Partner, where she worked in both Europe and the US, particularly in the Consumer/Retail and Media sectors.
Per the 1st of November Berg has joined Eden McCallum, a strategy and management consulting firm established in 2000 by two former McKinsey & Company consultants. Since the firm has expanded from its base in London to the Netherlands (office opened in 2008) and more recently Switzerland, with its hub in Zurich launched in April this year. Berg moves back to Europe from New York and will work with clients internationally, focusing mainly on innovation and growth strategy, and the vision, organisation, operations and capabilities required to deliver it.
“We’re delighted to have Barrie with us in the partnership,” says Dena McCallum, who co-founded the firm with Liann Eden fifteen years ago. “Her experience in the US and Europe, in strategy and innovation will be invaluable to our clients, and of course to the firm too as we continue on our own international growth path.”
Commenting on her new role, Berg says: “Eden McCallum’s agile approach to consulting is the future. I’m looking forward to bringing this better way of working to clients, and continuing to drive the sort of innovative thinking on which the firm was founded.”
In February this year Eden McCallum boosted its London-based partner team with Michael Edwards, who joined from McKinsey & Company, while both Leo Andronis (from A.T. Kearney) and Jan-Willem Weggemans (former PwC, Bain and BCG) more recently joined the ranks as Associate Partner.
