David Tannock joins Begbies Traynor in Glasgow

Begbies Traynor has appointed personal insolvency specialist David Tannock as an Insolvency Manager based at its Glasgow office. He brings the best part of two decades of experience to the role.

With his extensive experience in personal insolvency, David is a welcome addition, further strengthening our team across Scotland.”

With more than 18 years’ experience in the insolvency sector, Tannock arrives at Begbies Traynor’s office in Glasgow. From his base in Glasgow, he will work with the team to provide personal insolvency expertise to clients across Scotland from Begbies Traynor’s offices in Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen.

Throughout his career he has obtained a broad range of experience covering insolvency and debt solutions, including helping struggling individuals and businesses on matters such as trust deeds, sequestrations and debt arrangement schemes.

He spent the last three years with Azets (formerly Campbell Dallas) as an Insolvency Manager, assisting individuals and business owners who are financially struggling with debt advice in relation to Trust Deeds, Sequestration’s and The Debt Arrangement Scheme. He also spent extended spells in similar roles with Wylie & Bisset and Invocas Financial. According to Tannock, he was drawn to starting another career chapter with Begbies Traynor due to its “strong reputation in the marketplace.”

Tannock reflected on his new challenge, “The firm is known as a specialist in personal insolvency and I will be working with the team, adding further strength in depth, to support individuals in financial distress as the impact of the pandemic continues to bite. We have an experienced team in place to help people across Scotland to navigate their way through the current challenges.”

In May, the firm stated its results would be 'significantly ahead' of expectations. For the year to 30 April 2021, revenue was said to be set to rise from £70.5 million to about £83.7 million.
