Delaware Consulting expands into Brazil, Latin America

Delaware Consulting has opened an office in São Paulo, Brazil, its first in South America.

With more than 1,000 employees in 10 countries, Delaware Consulting is one of the larger providers of IT solutions and IT consulting services based on the Microsoft, SAP and OpenText technology platforms.

In line with its five-year strategic growth plan, which focuses on expansion in new target countries, Delaware Consulting has decided to enter the South American market. With the move the Belgium-origin consultancy aims at capitalising on a growing market, as well as better serving the Brazil-based operations of its existing client base. “As South America, and Brazil in particular, had shown tremendous potential — especially in the retail market — demands for a dedicated Brazilian office grew. Approximately 30 Delaware Consulting clients in Europe do regular business with Brazil,” writes Delaware Consulting in a press release.

Three founding partners are at the head of Delaware Consulting Brazil, each with over 13 years’ experience in IT and a profound knowledge of SAP: managing director Fabio Carneiro, delivery director Rodrigo Moulard, and sales director Roberto Matias. Their goal is to leverage Delaware Consulting’s status as SAP Gold Partner in Europe. Together they have drafted ambitious plans for the office – in the next four years, they aim to grow the company from 20 team members in 2016 to 90 by 2019.

Delaware Consulting Brazil will focus on specialised services for the top SAP technologies, full SAP localisation in Brazil and the consolidation of proven expertise SAP in Retail. The offering will be extended with OpenText integration and SharePoint Online implementation services.

Earlier this year and at the end of 2014, Delaware Consulting already opened new offices in Hungary, Malaysia and the Philippines.
