Grant Thornton promotes Paul Holland to Partner
Business advisory firm Grant Thornton has promoted Paul Holland to partner covering the Thames Valley and Southampton region.
Grant Thornton’s Thames Valley and Southampton offices are home to more than 280 experts. The regional wing of the professional services firm delivers audit, tax and advisory solutions to business and their management teams across the area’s economic spectrum.
In his new role as Partner, Paul Holland will have specific responsibilities for leading audit and assurance services, working with both large, complex businesses and mid-market clients with fast growth potential. He has spent over two decades in professional services, having joined Grant Thornton two years ago. He has audited a broad range of companies, and also supports clients through providing assurance services around sustainability, environmental, social and governance and wider non-financial reporting.
Jim Rogers, Grant Thornton Head of Audit in Thames Valley and Southampton, commented, “Paul is an outstanding professional who can draw on a valuable breadth of experience and who has a genuine passion for providing highest standards in audit. He is already making a significant contribution to what we are achieving as a business and it’s a pleasure to see him progress.”
Holland leads Grant Thornton's Sustainability Services in the Thames Valley and Southampton region, and has worked with a broad range of clients to assist them with strategy, reporting and assurance at various stages of their sustainability journeys: from those that are just beginning to those that have been publicly reporting for over a decade.
Having originally trained in financial audit, he previously spent over a decade with Big Four firm KPMG, where he latterly was Head of Sustainability Services.
Speaking on his latest promotion, Holland said, “It’s a big milestone in my career and I’m hugely proud to be joining the Grant Thornton partnership team. We have seen unprecedented changes in the audit market over the last couple of years and it continues to be an important time for the profession.”
“We have great people across Thames Valley and Southampton, delivering high quality audits to an exciting client base. I do feel we have a positive and rewarding culture within the firm, one where professionals are supported, empowered and can make a difference. I’m looking forward to being part of a leadership group focussed on our clients, our people and in creating value through delivering best-in-class services.”
